The Clincal Building Expansion Project
is an 11 story, 244,000 square foot building
which will contain intensive care, imaging,
surgical and other patient care and related
facilities. The new space will house two
floors of Intensive Care Units (ICU`s),
a surgical suite with 8 operating rooms,
Interventional Radiology, Cardiac Cath Labs
& Inpatient Echo. Additionally, there
will be two floors of patient rooms as well
as space for Radiology and Emergency Department
Administration. The new ICU`s will replace
the existing Cardiac Intensive Care Units
(CICU) and Medical / Surgical Intensive
Care Units (MSICU) currently located in
the Pavilion Building. Site preparation
began in August 2001 and is on schedule
to be occupied in the Summer of 2005.
